To thrive as a Weekend Counselor, you typically need a background in psychology, social work, or counseling, often supported by a relevant degree and state licensure or certification. Familiarity with case management systems, crisis intervention tools, and documentation software is crucial for effective service delivery. The role can also offer flexibility for those seeking non-traditional work schedules.

What is weekend counseling?

Weekend counseling refers to mental health support sessions or therapy provided during weekends, often to accommodate clients who are unable to attend during the traditional workweek. These sessions can address a range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship issues. Weekend counseling is typically offered by licensed therapists, counselors, or mental health professionals, either in-person or through online platforms.
