Our client has a mission to create a vibrant community of successful professional photographers by providing education, resources, and industry standards of excellence. They have been in business for more than 150 years and while times change, their dedication to serving the members of the photography community remains constant. They are a partner, advocate and guide for photographers navigating the increasingly complex business of photography. They are also one of the world's largest nonprofit photography associations that is organized to help professional photographers with over 35,000 current members in more than 50 countries.
We're not just writing copy. We're building a media company.
Our client is evolving into a content-driven platform that educates, inspires, and moves the photography industry forward. We're looking for a writer who can help define the voice of that future-and make it impossible to ignore.
This role sits at the center of everything: product, editorial, marketing, and member experience.
We're redefining what an association can be.
This is your chance to help build a media company-one that delivers real value, earns attention, and drives growth.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Write across all platforms: app (Photovision), magazine, campaigns, web, email, social
- Obsess over clarity, tone, and flawless proofreading
- Shape and scale the client's voice into something distinct, modern, and unmistakable
- Curate content across platforms so it feels connected-not fragmented
- Build and refine prospective member acquisition series that convert
- Turn complex ideas into content people actually want to read, watch, and engage with
WHAT YOU NEED:
- At least 3 years writing in high-output, content-driven environments
- Range: from product copy to editorial and campaign storytelling
- A ruthless eye for detail (you catch what others miss)
- Strong point of view on voice, structure, and narrative
- Equal parts editor and builder
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Onsite Mon - Thurs., Remote on Fridays
- Compensation: 58-65k/annually plus annual merit increase opportunity!
