Job description

Conducts all necessary kitchen duties to include but not limited to food preparation and clean up. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares three meals daily which meet nutritional guidelines.
  2. Maintains food safety and security.  
  3. Assists in warming and preparing meals.
  4. Sets up kitchen and meal areas.
  5. Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen and meal area. 
  6. Monitors food inventory.

Knowledge:

This position requires a High School diploma or GED. Food handling and preparation experience is required, preferably in a social service setting. DOH food certification needed. Must have he ability to establish workload priorities. Physical ability to perform the essential job functions is needed. In addition the Cook performs any duties as required to meet the new needs of the position as they arise.
