Job Title: Local Contract - Computed Tomography Technologist Number of positions: 1 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 01/30/2024 Hourly pay: $52.95 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $1,985.63 JOB DESCRIPTION Department: Computerized Tomography - Radiology Shift timings: 23:00 - 07:00 Sunday - Thursday (5 Days/8 Hours) Per Week: 40 Hours • BLS, WI license, ARRT; • Shift details: 2300-0700 Sunday - Thursday; • Call: None; Weekends: negotiable as needed; • Holidays: rotation with regular staff; • GE CT scanner experience; • May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed Roles & Responsibilities • Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. • Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies. • Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes. • Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients. • Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions. • Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues. • Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality. • Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required. QUALIFICATIONS • BLS and ACLS • National Institutes of Health (NIH) • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. • The ability to stand for extended periods. • Strong technical skills. • Knowledge of medical terminology • Passionate about patient care • Requires a minimum of two years of current Computed Tomography Technologist experience. • Graduate from a fully accredited Computed Tomography Technologist program • Active unencumbered Wisconsin Computed Tomography Technologist state license • One year of Cerner FirstNet experience Requirements • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
