Weekend Content Moderator information

What is a weekend content moderator?

Weekend Content Moderators are professionals responsible for monitoring and reviewing user-generated content on websites, forums, or social media platforms during weekends. Their main duties include enforcing community guidelines, removing inappropriate or harmful content, and ensuring a safe online environment when regular weekday staff may be unavailable. They may also respond to user reports, escalate serious issues, and help maintain positive interactions within the online community.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a weekend content moderator?

To thrive as a Weekend Content Moderator, you need strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and familiarity with community guidelines, typically supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with content management systems, moderation tools, and reporting platforms is often required. Excellent communication, stress management, and the ability to make impartial decisions are valuable soft skills for this role. These competencies ensure the online environment remains safe, respectful, and compliant with platform standards, especially during high-traffic weekend periods.

What challenges do weekend content moderators face and how can they manage high-volume workloads?

Weekend Content Moderators often experience increased activity during weekends, leading to a higher volume of user-generated content that requires swift review. This can present challenges such as maintaining accuracy while working quickly, managing exposure to potentially distressing material, and staying up-to-date with platform guidelines. To manage these demands, moderators should leverage available moderation tools, take scheduled breaks to prevent burnout, and communicate regularly with their team for support and clarification on complex cases.

Job description

Content Manager โ€” Luxury Skincare | Embassy of Beauty

Full-time ยท Office-based ยท Boca Raton, FL

We discover the unseen in beauty. At Embassy of Beauty, we curate the world's most exceptional niche skincare brands โ€” science-led, transformative, and rigorously tested by our own team before they ever reach a customer.

With a fiercely loyal community across the US and UK, we're redefining how people experience prestige skincare.

Now we need a storyteller to match.

The Role

As Content Manager, you'll own every word we publish across our US and UK markets. Shaping how Embassy of Beauty is seen, heard and loved on both sides of the Atlantic. From product descriptions to campaign narratives, you'll move fluidly between content strategy and beautifully written copy. Creative meets commercial: your words will build authority, drive performance, and turn customers into advocates.

What You'll Do
  • Write and evolve all brand copy, product descriptions, email campaigns, newsletters and social content โ€” with the clarity and authority our formulas deserve
  • Own the content calendar and campaign storylines across digital channels, aligned with launches, partnerships and seasonal moments
  • Shape content strategy informed by market trends, consumer behavior and competitor insight
  • Manage SEO strategy and work with media partners on paid channels
  • Support the growth of our MyEB Rewards loyalty programme and brand partner relationships
  • Collaborate with e-commerce, design and operations teams across the US and UK to deliver on time, to the highest standard
Who You Are
  • Proven experience as a Content Manager, Senior Copywriter or similar role in luxury beauty or skincare
  • Exceptional written English with a refined, engaging editorial tone
  • Genuinely passionate about skincare โ€” ingredient and treatment knowledge is a real advantage
  • Fluent in commercial content for social; comfortable with e-commerce and email tools (Klaviyo desirable)
  • Organised, proactive, and at home in a small, fast-moving team
  • Eligible to work in the United States

If you believe beauty deserves substance โ€” a story, a purpose, and formulas that truly work โ€” we'd love to hear from you.
