Key responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, and edit photo and video content for both restaurants, including food, drinks, atmosphere, events, staff, and behind-the-scenes moments

  • Build and maintain a content calendar for each brand, manage daily posting and community interaction across social platforms, and track engagement to adjust strategies

  • Coordinate with each brand's team to capture new menu items, promotions, and events, and ensure content is organized and stored properly

Job description

HallPass is hiring a Content Creator for two of our restaurants: HallPass and Lupessa, side by side at The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City. This is a creative, self-directed role for someone who can walk into a restaurant, see the story worth telling, and turn it into content that gets people in the door.

You will own the day-to-day content engine for both brands at once. You will build each brand's voice, keep its channels active, and grow its audience. We are looking for a true self-starter who is eager to drive customer engagement and brand recognition, and who can get the job done without being managed shot by shot. You won't be micromanaged, but you won't be stranded either. You'll work directly with the owner and each restaurant's managers, who open doors, flag what's coming, and get you the access you need. A small category of content (promotions, pricing, and anything featuring staff or guests) gets a quick sign-off before it posts.

What you'll do:
  • Plan, shoot, and edit photo and video content for both restaurants: food, drinks, atmosphere, events, staff, and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Build and maintain a steady content calendar for each brand so every channel stays active and on-brand
  • Write captions and short-form copy that match each brand's voice and drive engagement
  • Manage day-to-day posting and community interaction across social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and others as they make sense for each brand)
  • Spot trends, local moments, and timely opportunities, and act on them while they are still relevant
  • Track what is working using engagement and reach data, and adjust the approach on your own
  • Coordinate with each brand's team to capture new menu items, promotions, and events
  • Film staff and guests the right way: staff appear on camera by consent with a release on file, and identifiable guests only with their permission
  • Work inside company-owned brand accounts, with logins, recovery, and two-factor tied to company contacts
  • Keep an organized library of raw and finished content in HallPass-managed storage. Everything you create in this role belongs to HallPass
What we're looking for:
  • Demonstrated experience creating content for brands, businesses, or a strong personal following (a portfolio or links to your work are required)
  • A strong eye for photo and video, plus hands-on editing skills, especially short-form video for Reels and TikTok
  • A genuine self-starter who can run both brands independently with little oversight
  • Comfort juggling two distinct brand voices and switching between them
  • Reliability and organization, and the ability to consistently hit a posting cadence
  • Flexibility to shoot when hospitality actually happens: evening service, weekends, and events are where the best content lives
  • Current on social platform trends and best practices
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Authorized to work in the United States
Nice to have:
  • Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe, or similar)
  • Food, beverage, or product styling and lighting experience
  • Paid social or ad-creative experience
  • A background in hospitality or restaurants
Why this role:
  • This is a rebuild, not a maintenance job. Our restaurants have been on social for a while, but the content has never matched what actually happens inside these establishments, and we are ready to change that
  • You get two amazing establishments, side by side at The Gateway: HallPass, Utah's first food hall, with six concepts under one roof including its own bar, and Lupessa, a modern Italian restaurant with an artisanal bread service, weekend brunch, and live piano on weekends
  • Two distinct brands that need two completely different voices
  • Real access: kitchens, events, staff, and the behind-the-scenes moments guests never get to see
  • Everything you make gets published, and you'll see it work in the real world. A post goes up, and guests come through the door
  • Full-time stability doing creator work. That combination is rare in this industry

HallPass is an equal opportunity employer.

We hire based on your work and what you can do, not race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
