TreeServe, through our Princeton Tree Care operation in Princeton, NJ is growing and looking for a driven, knowledgeable Sales Arborist who doesn’t wait for opportunities—they create them.


In this role, you’ll meet with homeowners, assess tree and plant health needs, and recommend solutions that protect and enhance their property. This is a high-impact, relationship-driven sales role with strong earning potential and the opportunity to build your own book of business.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conduct property inspections and evaluate tree and plant health
  • Diagnose diseases, pest issues, and recommend proactive care solutions
  • Build trust by clearly explaining findings and treatment options
  • Close sales by showcasing the value and long-term benefits of tree care services
  • Actively prospect, network, and generate your own opportunities
  • Manage appointments, follow-ups, and documentation using the company-provided equipment
  • Develop and grow your own client base and referral network
  • Represent TreeServe and Princeton Tree Care with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first mindset


What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of trees, pests, diseases, and plant health care
  • Confidence in meeting with clients and closing work
  • Comfort with prospecting and relationship-building


Sales Arborist Job Posting

  • A self-starter mindset with the drive to grow a book of business
  • ISA Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Existing client base or referral network in the Fairfax/DC Market is a strong plus


Basic Requirements

  • Understanding of the home services or arboriculture industry
  • Ability to utilize a CRM system
  • Love meeting new people and helping solve real problems
  • Are confident, competitive, and goal-driven
  • Proven track record of generating your own appointments
  • Highly organized and able to work independently


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior experience in residential sales, pest control, plant health care, arboriculture, horticulture, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience selling services to homeowners


Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • ISA Certified Arborist (preferred) or willingness to obtain


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Ability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions
  • Frequent walking, standing, and navigating residential properties
  • Exposure to natural elements such as heat, cold, pollen, and uneven terrain
  • Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends
