You will work within an empowering environment where your analytical insights directly drive company growth and project success.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and multi-variable cost models using specialized civil estimating software.
  • Formulate competitive bidding strategies while identifying project risk factors and necessary budget contingencies.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotes, negotiate vendor pricing, and establish accurate labor and material budgets.
  • Drive value engineering initiatives during design-build phases to optimize project costs and overall performance.
  • Conduct comprehensive site visits to inspect real-world conditions and integrate findings into estimate models.
  • Deliver persuasive proposal presentations for bid reviews, post-bid meetings, and client-facing discussions.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil or industrial construction estimating.
  • Proven background working with water/wastewater, dam, industrial plant, or renewable energy projects.
  • Strong proficiency in civil estimating tools, CAD software, and reading complex design specifications.
  • Deep knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, process piping, site work, and earthwork.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills needed for vendor negotiations and leadership presentations.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various regional job sites.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced software experience with tools such as HeavyBid (HCSS), Construction Link, Bluebeam, or Procore.
  • Prior combined experience spanning project engineering, field project management, and cost accounting.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction law, contract terms, and strategic pricing models.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Weekly pay cycle and performance-focused work environment.
  • 401(k) retirement savings program with generous employer matching.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Life and disability insurance options.
  • Paid time off including scheduled holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
