Job description

Union contractors are seeking Construction Laborers for Heavy/Highway and Building work. This is an opportunity for you to become a member of LiUNA (Laborers International Union of North America) Local 663.
Heavy Laborers are needed now. At least three years of experience (4000 work hours). Need skills working as:
Mason Tenders/ Hod Carriers
  • Scaffold building experience
  • Ability to operate off-road fork truck safely
  • Ability to move around on scaffold safely carrying 12-inch blocks
  • Knowledge of Mixing machine or Hopper operation
  • Fork truck license and scaffold building certification a plus

Concrete Laborer
  • Ability to work with a concrete truck and run a chute safely with correct signals
  • Ability to use concrete come-along for flatwork and site work efficiently
  • Ability to work as a team for long hours
  • Concrete finishing skills are a plus
  • Straight Edge or Screed Board experience is a plus
  • Hose Man experience on a pump truck is a plus

Asphalt Raker and Screed
  • Experienced asphalt raker must have an understanding of the asphalt laying process
  • Able to rake and shovel
  • Experienced screed must be able to operate and control the screed
  • Understand the asphalt laying process
Water and Sewer Pipelayer
  • Experienced pipelayer must be able to :
  • Set up pipe laser
  • Use manhole mount
  • Alignment instrument
  • Use auto level
  • Must be able to layout manholes and curb inlet boxes
  • Read blueprints and figure construction grades cuts and fills
  • Knowledge of trench safety and shoring required
  • Able to pour and finish inverts and collars
  • Understand water lines installation, mechanical fittings, mega lugs, valves, and hydrants.
