Job description

The Concrete Laborer plays a vital role in construction projects by preparing, finishing, and maintaining concrete surfaces. Typically working within a large crew, this role focuses on formwork setup, surface finishing, and overall material management. The position mainly involves outdoor work and occasionally requires travel between multiple job sites. Concrete Laborers report directly to the Site Supervisor and contribute to maintaining safety and quality standards on site.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and dismantle formwork to shape concrete structures
  • Perform surface finishing tasks to ensure smooth and durable concrete surfaces
  • Handle materials including mixing, moving, and placing concrete components
  • Apply grouting and patching to repair and reinforce surfaces
  • Install and secure handrails as needed
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
  • Coordinate with a large crew to complete tasks efficiently on site
  • Travel occasionally between multiple job sites as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in concrete labor
