Looking for candidates that live in CLEVELAND and the surrounding areas.
This is considered an Occasional Employment position (commonly referred to as 'Gig Work') Activations are typically 2-4 hours in length and the on-site hourly wage ranges from $30-$40+ per hour. Available events vary from week to week, most events occur Thursdays - Sundays between 3pm-12am.
The ideal candidate is looking to pick up 2-4+ shifts a week, has availability starting around 3pm on weekdays and 11am on weekends, and is comfortable driving to events within an hour+ radius of downtown Cleveland (events outside 30 minutes/ 30 miles include drive time and mileage reimbursement)
Candidates must be 21yrs. or older.
W2 position paid bi-weekly with great local support and hands on training!

What are MKTG Brand Educators/ Brand Ambassadors?
MKTG Brand Educators/ Brand Ambassadors (BEs/ BAs) are Diageo brand enthusiasts that educate consumers on the Diageo Brand portfolio during on, off, and experiential special events. You must be able to deliver a unique sampling experience and help consumers make informed brand decisions. You are expected to interact and actively engage consumers at the point of purchase and experience, with the end goal of reinforcing and/or increasing brand awareness. The BE/ BA embodies the Diageo brand they represent and humanizes the brand as a result. They build consumer trust by providing product knowledge and education. BEs/ BAs have a wide range of job responsibilities related to engaging and encouraging consumers to recognize, prefer and purchase our client brands, set up eye catching sample stations and positively interact with accounts, take quality event photos, and provide timely, accurate event reporting.
This position is an Occasional Employment Position. Being hired as a Brand Educator does not guarantee employees will be assigned to any particular quantity of assignments. Brand Educators must sign-off on all required forms and must follow all laws and regulations specific to liquor sampling, be eligible to hold a State of Ohio Solicitors Permit, as well as adhere to all MKTG Policies & Procedures and the NA Diageo Marketing Code.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Actively engage and educate consumers at the point of experience, purchase and consumption
  • Humanize the brands and build trust of consumers through education
  • Lead consumers through a sampling journey of featured product(s)
  • Regularly complete paid digital trainings for market brand and programs as directed - maintain accurate and up-to-date product knowledge
  • Travel to different locations in the on and off premise
  • Adapt to tech platforms to receive and input information necessary to represent the Diageo brands
  • Arrive to events on time, in appropriate attire as specified by market team, and be prepared to execute promotions as outlined in program standards
  • Distribute Diageo premiums to consumers
  • Follow Responsible Server Guidelines and report Guideline violations
  • Pre-merchandise accounts with Diageo point-of-sale (POS)
  • Pay for bar spend or product via company issued debit card
  • Pick up or accept delivery of promotional materials from Event Team
  • Ensure proper care and return of company property (i.e. - uniforms, event materials, machines)
  • Accurately complete the paid post-event recap within 48 hours of event
  • Take/ edit and submit high quality digital event photos
  • Understand how Diageo brand differs from competitors and report on competitive activity while in market
  • Maintain appropriate appearance for consumer engagement
  • Follow all company policies and procedures

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • MUST BE 21+
  • Must be extremely dependable, organized, reliable, timely and self-managed
  • Must be tech savvy and own a smartphone
  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings
  • Must be able to accurately report event metrics
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to drive to events and transport POS
  • Basic understanding of Marketing helpful but not required. Prior Brand Ambassador experience a plus but not required. Must be willing to attend paid training virtually.

Engaging - BEs must be outgoing, personable, approachable and courteous, maintain a friendly and helpful attitude, be great educators who keep the goal to build trust in the brand in mind at all times.
Reliable - BEs must have reliable transportation and always arrive to events ready to start on time, and must work until event end - Strong administrative and customer service skills needed
Physical and Other Requirements:
  • Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time (3+ hours)
  • Able to carry heavy trays, boxes, objects as needed (max 50 lbs)
  • Able to maintain a pleasant disposition under stress
  • Satisfy consumer appeal and client marketing requirements
  • Approachable and able to engage consumers
