Job Overview:

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Petroleum Tank Wagon Driver to join our team. This role requires a professional driver to operate a motor vehicle with a gross weight of 54,000lbs, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of petroleum products.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently drives commercial vehicles Monday through Friday and occasional weekends and holidays in all types of weather conditions
  • Loads, unloads and moves fuels safely from fuel terminal to customer or company locations in a timely manner
  • Follows company policies and federal and state regulations
  • Keeps a safe record regarding accidents, driving record, injuries and other actions/events, following all company safety guidelines
  • Maintains clean equipment, uniforms and cab space, ensuring any repairs are communicated promptly
  • Completes accurate and timely documentation for delivery of product, volume of delivery, and inventory control management
  • Appropriately uses internal systems, hand held devices, and other electronic equipment for work purposes
  • Takes direction from dispatchers and/or managers, following delivery instructions and maintaining good working relationship
  • Communicates with team members, management and customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Stays calm and level headed in stressful situations and refrains from emotional outbursts
  • Adopts new methods, procedures and changes in a positive manner
  • Offers suggestions to improve efficiencies and solutions to solve problems
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Commercial Driver's License, Class A or B
  • Hazmat and Tanker (X) endorsement or willing to obtain upon hire
  • Excellent driving record
  • 6-12 months commercial driving experience
  • Good customer service, computer, and communication skills
  • Able to work rotational on-call nights and weekends
  • Must be able to read and write English
