Job description

Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule: Saturday 12 hour shifts 7 am – 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am, two 8-hour shifts to be scheduled Monday – Friday 2nd or 3rd shift
  • Inspect and prepare reels, boxes, pallets for production operations
  • Perform sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, production area, and other assigned areas
  • Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information
  • Must be able to understand and follow safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies
  • Inspect infrastructure and equipment and notify management when maintenance is required
  • Move/Transport product and materials by hand, cart, or lift as needed for various departments
  • Conduct positive interactions with other departments
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
  • Box, wrap and pack product in accordance with procedures and standards
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment
  • Daily workspace and mixing room cleaning and organizing
  • Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness
  • Stack finished goods on pallets and use machines to wrap finished pallets
  • Perform required inspections of finished product
  • Complete employee and vendor/supplier interactions with respect and integrity
  • Daily usage of ERP system to move product/materials.
  • Train other employees based on acquired knowledge
  • Handles production scrap, load into baler, create bale and move to appropriate storage.
  • Use of warehouse scale
  • Use machine wrapper
  • Operate forklift in narrow spaces
  • Wear designated PPE
  • Follow process for handling nonconforming products
  • Handle material moves based on FIFO method
  • Communicate with production, quality and other departments as needed via Microsoft Teams.

Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Dependable and reliable
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Previous Inventory, data entry and computer

· High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1-2 years previous warehouse experience preferred

Vision Requirements

  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
  • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
  • Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
  • Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
  • Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Noise Level

  • Medium (busy warehouse) and Loud (manufacturing facility)
  • Must have good hearing - well enough for safety purposes due to working in a production environment.
