Warehouse Supervisor – Job Description

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety. This role manages warehouse staff, coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, maintains inventory integrity, and ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

l Operational Management.

l Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.

l Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure productivity goals are met.

l Maintain accurate inventory through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.

l Coordinate logistics with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments.

l Staff Leadership.

l Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse associates.

l Schedule shifts, approve time cards, and manage labor needs.

l Encourage teamwork, communication, and accountability among staff.

l Safety & Compliance.

l Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.

l Conduct safety audits, equipment inspections, and incident reporting.

l Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.


Process Improvement

l Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy.
