Join the AppleCare Enterprise Services (ACES) Product Support Engineering (PSE) group as a Senior Software Quality & Validation Engineer, in this role, you will validate and strengthen Apple's software offerings used in enterprise and education settings prior to release. You will work cross-functionally with Software Engineering and Services Engineering teams, operating in a dynamic environment with groundbreaking technologies to make a difference.
Description
As a Senior Software Quality & Validation Engineer, you will test internal and external applications and workflows used by education and enterprise customers. You will create policies, develop repeatable testing processes, and automate test suites while maintaining technical resource documents. Additionally, you will partner with various internal teams to build and manage testing environments from the ground up to ensure the reliability of enterprise-class solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in enterprise support engineering, validation engineering, or test automation.
Programming experience in Python, Java, or another relevant language.
Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Selenium, JUnit) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
Experience with RESTful APIs and API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
Experience verifying training data integrity and detecting bias.
Experience writing test plans, scripting, automating processes, and creating reports.
Experience with macOS, iOS operations, and the Apple ecosystem.
Ability to travel domestically or internationally, and work evenings or weekends to meet critical deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
12+ years of experience in enterprise support engineering, validation engineering, or test automation.
Experience building professional relationships and collaborating across diverse organizations.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and adapt communication styles to various audiences.
Experience influencing development organizations and driving cross-functional initiatives.
Customer-facing experience in an enterprise support environment.
Experience mentoring team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, take on challenges in unfamiliar areas, and identify the right subject matter experts to resolve issues.
