Job Summary
This position completes routine enrollment tasks in support of the provider enrollment representatives and team; researches and controls incoming applications and correspondence to ensure the work is properly categorized; and reviews and processes a high volume of prospective provider enrollment applications. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
Primary Duties

  • Reviews, researches, and processes provider enrollment applications abiding to contract regulations, internal policies, and guidelines.
  • Coaches providers through the enrollment process and provides inbound phone support.
  • Intitiates requests for information to complete the online enrollment process.
  • Verifies credentialing information and completes fraud detection and prevention.
  • Provides Quality Assurance checks on the provider enrollment data and enters application information into claims processing systems.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Navigate proprietary computer systems to ensure necessary information is identical in the appropriate systems.
  • Researches and controls incoming applications and correspondence to ensure work is properly categorized.
  • Extensive data entry into internal document management and workflow systems.
  • Manages inbound/outbound online FAX queues to and from providers.
  • Creates and mails notification letters.
  • Completes application returns, rejections, and/or application acknowledgement process.
  • Supports other enrollment functions such as extensive status calls, data entry, special mailings, etc.
  • Meet and maintain performance requirement quality of 98% accuracy.
  • Supports team on special projects and assignments.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • Twelve (12) months clerical/provider enrollment experience required.
  • Advanced computer skills, keyboarding, and data entry skills required.
  • Experience with computer programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outloook, Teams, and SharePoint required.
  • Knowledge of provider enrollment workload definitions, enrollment terminology, enrollment forms, and basic regulation, policies, and procedures preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to read, hear, speak, keyboard, reason, communicate effectively and problem solve.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to become familiar with company specific programs and software.
  • Be an organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
