Location: Rocky Hill, CT

Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000 (based on experience)

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. (Garg) is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction management firm providing surveying and civil engineering services for infrastructure projects throughout the Northeast.

Position Overview

The Survey & CAD Technician supports land surveying and civil engineering projects through a combination of field survey work and AutoCAD drafting. The role assists with boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeouts, and preparation of technical drawings in accordance with project schedules, company policies, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform boundary and topographic surveys and construction stakeouts
  • Prepare, maintain, and store survey equipment and field vehicles
  • Collect site data and locate or recover property pins and boundary markers
  • Support project schedules, company policies, and production standards
  • Assist engineers with schematics, layout drawings, and design details using AutoCAD
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in land survey field work and AutoCAD drafting
  • Knowledge of land surveying and civil engineering applications including grading plans, plan/profile, and site plans
  • Strong attention to detail with effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current L.S. license (preferred, not required)
  • FAA Part 107 License or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment
