What does a weekend companion driver do?

A typical weekend shift for a Weekend Companion Driver involves picking up clients from their homes, assisting them with transportation to appointments, errands, or social visits, and providing companionship throughout the outing. Drivers often coordinate closely with both clients and their families to plan routes, accommodate special needs, and ensure all activities are safe and enjoyable. Communication skills and flexibility are essential, as schedules and client needs may change. Teamwork with care coordinators or agency staff is common, and drivers must consistently document activities and any concerns to keep everyone informed.
