About the Role
The Comics Programming & Talent Manager leads the strategy and delivery of comics-focused programming across major US events. This role drives creator engagement, builds industry relationships, and develops professional experiences that support business growth and community connection. You will manage multiple initiatives, aligning programming, talent, and event operations to create engaging, high-quality experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic vision, development, and execution of comics-focused programming and professional industry experiences across ReedPop's US events

  • Develop and oversee B2B and professional programming initiatives including industry summits, networking events, retailer programming, creator workshops, and professional development experiences

  • Build and manage comics-related programming schedules, including panels, signings, workshops, portfolio reviews, featured content, and talent experiences

  • Lead the outreach, negotiation, booking, contracting, and relationship management of comic creators, featured guests, and industry talent

  • Serve as a primary relationship owner for professional programming partners and comics industry collaborators

  • Oversee operational planning for programming and talent initiatives including scheduling, AV coordination, signage, catering, and guest logistics

  • Manage programming-related budgets, expenses, contracts, and talent tracking across multiple events

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the comics, publishing, creator, and pop culture industries

  • Experience developing and managing live event programming, conferences, or creator-focused experiences

  • Experience negotiating and managing creator, guest, or talent relationships

  • Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and event priorities simultaneously

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced event environments

  • Ability to travel regularly and work onsite during live events, including weekends and extended convention hours

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $71,600 - $119,400. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
