Job description

  1. Makes observations and documentation review (and takes corrective action if necessary) in each assigned home on each shift at least monthly to include but not limited to: ensuring meaningful activities are provided for consumers, accountability sheets are completed properly, MAR documentation in order, behavioral and programmatic training is occurring and documented accordingly.
  2. Reports to supervisor concerning any staff issues discovered during observation that could not be resolved/corrected during the visits.
  3. Immediately reports unusual situations, critical incidents and accidents/injuries to supervisor.
  4. Ensures trained and an adequate number of staff are working in assigned facilities.
  5. Ensures the home is in compliance with all applicable regulations: DHEC, SCDDSN and/or First Health Services Inc.
  6. In conjunction with supervisor, provides guidance and assistance with regard to training issues relating to staff development, and providing services to consumers in the homes.
  7. If applicable, maintains accurate petty cash records and balances.
  8. Ensures the safe and accurate keeping of all consumer monies in the home, and assists supervisor with maintenance of consumer accounts.
  9. Performs or coordinates the completion of grocery and supply inventories, and monitors (along with their supervisor) a system that allows for the minimization of waste, elimination of theft, and provides as much consumer choice as is possible.
  10. With supervisor (QMRP, Administrator, or Coordinator), observes and provides meaningful new hire on-the-job training to include but not limited to: behavior interventions, training programs, medication administration (if applicable), accountability documentation etc.
  11. Complete Management Daily Checklist each business day, or as instructed, addressing: accountability, fire evacuation, MAR monitorship, behavior documentation, Accident/Injury report monitorship and routing, water temperature regulation, log book review, census reports, and cash on hand.
  12. Provides weekend scheduling on-call for the program according to a rotating schedule.
  13. Performs reviews of vehicles to ensure cleanliness, accurate mileage logs, working tie downs, fire extinguisher etc. are in order.
  14. Follow safety rules and procedures.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
