What does a Weekend Coffee Quality Control specialist do?

A Weekend Coffee Quality Control specialist is responsible for assessing and maintaining the quality of coffee products during weekend shifts. This role involves tasting samples, checking for consistency in flavor, aroma, and appearance, and ensuring that coffee meets company and industry standards. They may also document results, report issues to management, and help make adjustments to production processes. The goal is to ensure that every cup served meets the highest quality expectations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Weekend Coffee Quality Control specialist?

To thrive as a Weekend Coffee Quality Control specialist, you need a solid understanding of coffee tasting, sensory evaluation, and knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, usually supported by experience in the coffee industry or relevant certifications like Q Grader. Familiarity with tools such as refractometers, cupping equipment, and quality management software is typically required.
