CASHIER
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This is a Part-time position working under thesupervision of the NuNu's Fresh Market Store Manager, Assistant Managers and/or Customer Service Managers. Position requires the availability to work some days, nights and weekends.
Uses the POS register system to accurately andefficiently check out customer orders, collect funds, and bag orders. Ensuresthat the workstation is kept clean, neat, and orderly at all times. Communicate with and assist customers in apolite and friendly manner. Stocks shelves as necessary. Dependable, punctual,good work habits, detail oriented, and a high energy level. Must maintain a clean and presentableappearance. Delivers exceptional customer service to all Guest!
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greets allcustomers with a smile and a pleasant attitude.
  • Responsible forchecking customer orders on the POS register system, accurately, collectingfunds, and bagging orders.
  • Keeps workstationclean, neat, and orderly.
  • Stays aware ofshoplifters and reports any suspicious instances to management.
  • Performs otherduties as assigned or required.

EXPERIENCE,EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Experience withPOS register system and/or computer system
  • Experience indealing with Louisiana SNAP and WIC Programs
  • Experience indealing with Alcohol and Tobacco sales
  • Must either havepossession of or able to obtain a valid Louisiana Responsible VendorCertificate required by the State of Louisiana to sell alcohol.

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Must have excellentcommunication and customer service skills, polite, and friendly.
  • Skill in readingand math.
  • Able tounderstand and comply with NuNu's Fresh Market policies and procedures.
  • Able to scan,weigh, and provide accurate check out services.
  • Able to handlemoney and efficiently give back change.
  • Able tounderstand and abide by Louisiana State regulations regarding SNAP, WIC,Alcohol Sales, and Tobacco Sales.
  • Able to memorizeproduct ID codes and weekly ad specials.
  • Able to recognizeall items from the Produce Department.
  • Able to answercustomer inquiries in regard to pricing and location of items within the store.
  • Able to assistcustomers by bringing orders to their cars when necessary.
  • Able to work wellwith different personalities.
  • Able to userepetitive motion with hands and arms.
  • Able to followinstructions, multi-task, and work well under stressful situations.
  • Able to lift aminimum of 20 pounds.
