Job description

High School Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach
Beloved Community Charter School is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated individual to serve as the Head Coach for our Girls Basketball Program. The compensation is a stipend.
We are looking for a coach who is committed to building a competitive and positive program that emphasizes academic success, player development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will be someone who can create a culture that inspires our scholar-athletes while helping grow enthusiasm for girls basketball throughout our school community.
Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the girls basketball program.
  • Promote academic achievement, leadership, and character development.
  • Plan and conduct practices, games, and off-season workouts.
  • Develop individual player skills and overall team strategy.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team culture.
  • Communicate effectively with our scholar-athletes, parents, school administration, and the athletic department.
  • Work collaboratively with middle school program and coaches to help establish long-term program growth.
  • Comply with all school policies and NJSIAA regulations.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous high school, college, or comparable coaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, skill development, and game strategy.
  • Ability to motivate, mentor, and build positive relationships with scholar-athletes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Current CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Required coaching certifications and background clearances in accordance with New Jersey state regulations.
