Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Operate CNC mills and lathes ranging from 3- and 4-axis to 5-axis machines, VTLs, HBMs, and mill-turns.
  • Setups: Perform machine setups by loading fixtures and tooling, establishing work offsets, and preparing for production.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read blueprints, GD&T, and specifications to produce precision components.
  • Quality Validation: Inspect first articles and production parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve machining, tooling, offset, program, and process issues on the fly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Optimize machining processes, edit G-code at the control, mentor machinists, and support floor improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • 1+ years of CNC mill and/or lathe experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and reliable attendance
  • Desire to continue developing your machining skills

Preferred

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Ability to perform independent setups and first-article inspections
  • Experience reading GD&T and troubleshooting machining processes
  • Experience with Mazak equipment, 5-axis machines, VTLs, HBMs, mill-turns, or other large-format CNC equipment
  • High-mix, low-volume machining experience
  • Trade school or technical machining education
