Electronic Repair Technician (Weekends)  -  BXW Technologies, Inc.  -  Barberton, OH

BWXT is seeking qualified candidates to fill maintenance positions specializing in electronic repair at its facility in Barberton, Ohio. 

Individuals filling this role will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibration of plant equipment to ensure continuous plant operations and production requirements.  Additionally, the following routine tasks will be performed:

  • Works from wiring diagrams, drawings, electrical and electronic tools, gages, calibrating and testing equipment.  
  • Works with A. C. and D. C. motors and generators, transformers, rectifiers, electronic controls and regulators, including various mill and production equipment, electronic computers and control systems, data recording and processing equipment, control circuits, electronic gauges and detectors, x-ray gages, communication equipment, and annunciators.

Desired candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Lesser experience coupled with formal training and/or previous certifications may be acceptable.  Must be able to climb to any height and must pass all quality control tests and other training classes as required.  Must be willing to work any shift.

Due to our work with the federal government, U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship is also required.

Candidates considered for this position will be subjected to both written and practical assessments to determine baseline competencies and aptitudes.  Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Understanding of Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI, VFD, Seimens and Faunc controls.
  • Experience with Machine Tools, including CNC and welding equipment.
  • Understanding of ladder logic and ability to perform some PLC programming functions and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with fork lift, boom lift and scissor lift operation.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics. 

PLEASE NOTE: This position pays $43.68 per hour and is complemented by a generous benefits package.  Upon an offer, a relocation package is available for eligible candidates.

The starting rate for this position in Ohio (US-OH) is $43.68 per hour. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
