Position Details
  • Job Title: CNC Programmer

  • Pay Rate: $45.84 per hour


What You'll Do

As a CNC Programmer, your day will focus on programming, process improvement, quality assurance, and manufacturing support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program various CNC manufacturing equipment, including:

    • 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers

    • CNC lathes

    • CNC routers

  • Use CAD/CAM software to convert engineering drawings and change orders into machine-ready G-code.

  • Develop and modify programs to improve efficiency, accuracy, and product quality.

  • Ensure machine programs reflect the latest engineering revisions and specifications.

  • Support ongoing production by programming future jobs while machines remain operational.

  • Inspect and evaluate manufactured parts to ensure compliance with blueprint requirements and specifications.

  • Interpret technical drawings, GD&T requirements, and engineering documentation.

  • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Assist with the design, construction, and repair of tooling, jigs, fixtures, and specialized equipment.

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities on assigned equipment when required.

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support production goals.


Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of CAD/CAM programming experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret:

    • Blueprints

    • Technical drawings

    • Engineering specifications

  • Extensive experience programming CNC equipment, including multi-axis machining centers.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

  • Knowledge of machine tools, machining processes, and manufacturing techniques.

  • Ability to understand and interpret technical information and production requirements.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Knowledge of safe manufacturing and workplace practices.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience.

  • Experience programming complex 3-axis and 5-axis machining operations.

  • Familiarity with fixture and tooling design.

  • Experience supporting continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
