ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes. Works from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspects machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools. Determines and corrects more complex machine malfunctions. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning. May make calculations as well as assist with numeric controlled programming.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Performs skilled trades and lower level apprentice craft work for set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes.
  • Precision tool & part making, and repair typically performed in a machine shop environment.
  • Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machine tool programming.
  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) machine tool programming.
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to climb a ladder to an elevation of six feet above the ground level
  • Lift up to 50 lb, from ground level up to shoulder level.
  • Be on your feet up to 12 hours during the shift.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
