Crux Manufacturing is a growing precision CNC machining and manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality components, exceptional customer service, and reliable on-time delivery. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Coordinator to help drive quoting accuracy, customer satisfaction, and successful project execution.
This role is ideal for someone who understands CNC machining, enjoys working directly with customers, and can effectively coordinate projects from RFQ through final delivery.
Responsibilities

Estimating
  • Review RFQs, engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare accurate quotes for CNC machining, materials, tooling, outside services, and labor.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and determine production costs.
  • Work with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and lead times.
  • Maintain estimating databases and quote history.
  • Follow up on submitted quotations and customer inquiries.
Project Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate communication between sales, engineering, purchasing, quality, and production teams.
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Process customer orders and manage changes, revisions, and schedule adjustments.
  • Provide proactive status updates and resolve issues impacting delivery or quality.
  • Assist with production planning and capacity management.
Qualifications

Required
  • 2+ years of experience in estimating, project coordination, manufacturing, or CNC machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and manufacturing methods.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
Preferred
  • Experience in a CNC machine shop or job shop environment.
  • Knowledge of machining cycle times, tooling, and manufacturing costing.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus.
