CNC Milling Machinist - 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 4 X 10 schedule

Job Title: CNC Machinist Salary: $30.00 - $45.00/HR *Please note that salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.

We are seeking skilled machinists to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up machines, editing programs, and adjusting basic parameters to keep parts to specification.

Responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting technical blueprints

  • Setting up and operating CNC millers or lathesmachines

  • Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the material being machined.

  • Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.

  • Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage by utilizing measuring instruments and equipment such as calipers, comparators, gages, micrometers, etc

  • General cleaning and maintaining the machine.

  • Training new staff on machine operation procedures.

  • Documentation requires include ensuring all system transactions are completed and documented on job travelers and technical writing of set up sheets required

  • Communicate concerns to management and appropriate individuals

  • Other duties, tasks, or responsibilities, as assigned by the Supervisor/Lead or other members of the management team

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Formal trade school is a plus.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints with GD&T

  • Experience with multi-axis milling or turning

  • Experience with Fanuc controlled, machinery

  • Prior Aerospace manufacturing experience is strongly preferred

  • Strong communication skills: must be able to read, write and speak English

  • Ability to work with various types of materials.

  • Possess strong organizational and attention to detail skills

  • Demonstrates initiative and be able to work independently with limited supervision

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Perks: State-of-the-art climate-controlled facility only 10 years old. Very new machinery, (newest models Matsuura milling machines with 3-5 axis capabilities)
