Job description

Position Summary:
The CNC Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting equipment to produce precision metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. This position ensures quality standards, production goals, and safety requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC  machine operator.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
  • Verify dimensions and quality of finished products using measuring tools.
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot minor issues as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Track production quantities and complete required documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Trumpf, Bystronic, Mazak, Amada, or similar laser systems.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
