Job description


Heavy Duty Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the casino public areas and public rest rooms to enhance the Casino environment for all our guests.
Responsibilities
  • Has previous janitorial experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to strips and waxes floors.
  • Shampoos and spot cleans carpeted areas on a bi weekly schedule.
  • Uses extractor equipment, floor scrubbers, shampoo machines, polishing machine and special vacuum cleaner and scrubber.
  • Moves office furnishings and items as directed.
  • Cleans interior and exterior windows as directed.
  • Can scrubs and cleans all exteriors on a bi weekly basis.
  • Cleans overheads, ceilings and vents on a scheduled basis.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Knowledge of chemicals, shampoos, strippers and wax preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently along with a team mentality.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry above/below the shoulders a minimum of 25 lbs or more.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time or entire shift.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to maneuver around office areas, effectively work in high traffic areas and responds to visual and aural cues.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift up to 50lbs and pull or push carts up to 200lbs.
