Worship Director - South Park Church

WORSHIP DIRECTOR

Passionate about creating a Spirit-led worship experience that leads people into life-changing encounters with God? If one has a heart for shepherding others and putting people before platform, we would love to meet the applicant!

South Park Church is seeking a worship director/pastor to help us build a Jesus-centered worship culture that is dynamic and glorifies our amazing God!

THE CANDIDATE'S MISSION

In this role, the candidate is not just leading songs; the candidate will be leading people. In collaboration with our service support team, the candidate will plan and execute weekend services that move ideas into transformational experiences. The week will be a mix of creative leadership, shepherding the worship team, and effective communication and administration.

WHAT CANDIDATE WILL DO:

  • Lead the Room: Initially, serve as the primary worship leader, shepherding Spirit-led worship which includes pastoral moments for our congregation.
  • Build the Team: Spend significant time shepherding the worship team–developing and caring for our talented volunteers, while also actively recruiting, training, and discipling them.
  • Develop Future Leaders: Partner with our youth ministries to mentor and develop the next generation of worship leaders. Intentionally creating on-ramp opportunities for children and youth.
  • Shape the Culture: Collaborate with leadership to align worship with message themes, seasons, etc.; but also partner with other ministries to create worship as a lifestyle throughout the church, not just a Sunday service experience.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE:

We are looking for a collaborative, self-aware shepherd-leader who thinks about the "we" instead of the "me".

  • Experienced Leader: A proficient worship leader and strong vocalist with a track record of developing and shepherding volunteers.
  • Tech-Savvy: Has a working knowledge of tools like ProPresenter and Planning Center.
  • Growth-Oriented: Possesses a "shepherd-leader" mindset, desiring to see others flourish in their spiritual gifts; while also exhibiting emotional and relational maturity with experience in healthy conflict resolution and giving and receiving feedback.
  • Heart for Service: Carries spiritual gifts in areas such as Leadership, Shepherding, and Creative Communication.

The Logistics:

  • Status: Permanent, Full Time
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience and skill set)
  • Physical Requirements: Includes standing for long periods, and carrying up to 25 lbs.

If ready to help us build a culture of Jesus-centered worship that transforms lives, we can’t wait to hear from the applicant!
