Road & Rail Services is seeking a dependable Bulk Material Transfer Operator to join our Tampa, FL team. This hands-on position supports the safe movement of bulk products between railcars and tank trucks using industrial transfer equipment.

The work is performed primarily outdoors and requires employees to remain active throughout the shift. Florida heat, rain, humidity, and changing weather conditions are part of the job. Candidates with experience in construction, landscaping, agriculture, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or other physically demanding environments are encouraged to apply.

Previous rail or product-transfer experience is helpful but not required. We are prepared to train someone who demonstrates a strong safety mindset, dependable attendance, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Do

As a Bulk Material Transfer Operator, you will safely connect equipment and transfer materials between railcars and trucks. You will follow established operating procedures to protect employees, customer products, equipment, and the surrounding environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Connecting and disconnecting transfer hoses, pumps, valves, and related equipment

Transferring bulk materials between railcars and tank trucks

Inspecting hoses, fittings, railcars, and equipment before and after each transfer

Monitoring transfer operations and reporting leaks, damage, or unusual conditions

Climbing railcars and working safely from elevated platforms

Wearing required personal protective equipment, including specialized PPE when necessary

Maintaining accurate operating records and completing required documentation

Keeping the work area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards

Following all company, customer, environmental, and industry safety procedures

Assisting coworkers with additional terminal duties as assigned

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Previous experience performing outdoor or physically demanding work

Ability to work outside in heat, rain, humidity, and other weather conditions

Ability to climb railcars, work at elevated heights, bend, reach, and handle equipment
