Job description

Join our dynamic security team as an Armed Security Officer and play a vital role in safeguarding our facilities, assets, and personnel. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, rapid response to incidents, and effective conflict management. Your expertise in law enforcement procedures, CCTV monitoring, and emergency response will ensure the safety and peace of mind for everyone on site. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your security skills while making a meaningful impact every day.

Duties

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats

Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior

Manage access control by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors

Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring CPR or first aid

Enforce security protocols and conflict management procedures to de-escalate tense situations

Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents as needed

Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately and promptly

Requirements

Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly preferred

Valid certification in first aid and CPR to handle medical emergencies confidently

Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and conflict management strategies

Ability to remain calm under pressure while responding swiftly to emergencies or security breaches

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, law enforcement, and the public

Must possess a valid armed security license or be eligible to obtain one according to local regulations
