Job description

Housing Case Manager

Bethany House Services | Full-Time | Housing Department

Change Lives. One Family, One Home at a Time.

Ever wondered what it feels like to hand someone the keys to their first stable home in years? That's a Tuesday for our Housing Case Managers.

At Bethany House Services, we're on a mission to help families move from crisis to stability — and we need a compassionate, driven, get-things-done kind of person to help lead the charge. If you thrive on connection, love problem-solving, and want a job where the impact is real (not just a line on a resume), keep reading.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll be the steady hand and the biggest cheerleader for families working toward self-sufficiency through our Rapid Re-housing (RRH) and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) programs. Day to day, that looks like:

  • Building trust — meeting with families twice a month to map out a housing plan that's truly theirs
  • Opening doors — literally and figuratively, connecting clients to job training, employers, and income support
  • Playing connector — linking families to mental health services, medical care, and community resources that stick
  • Managing resources wisely — administering rental and utility assistance so families can breathe again
  • Keeping it organized — accurate case notes and HMIS documentation that tell the full story of every family's progress
  • Rallying the team — occasionally leading volunteers at special events and keeping the good vibes flowing
What You Bring to the Table
  • A bachelor's degree in social work, education, psychology, sociology, or a related field
  • LSW licensure in Ohio? Awesome — big plus.
  • 1-2 years working with families experiencing or at risk of homelessness? Even better.
  • A trauma-informed mindset and the ability to meet people exactly where they are
  • Comfort with tech — Office 365 and reporting tools won't scare you off
  • A valid driver's license (you'll be out in the community, not stuck behind a desk all day)
  • Rock-solid boundaries, confidentiality, and a genuine respect for every background and story that walks through the door
Why You'll Love It Here

This isn't a desk job where you watch the clock. You'll be in homes, schools, and neighborhoods — building relationships that actually move the needle. You'll work alongside a team that has your back, celebrates the wins (even the small ones), and shows up for each other as much as for our clients.

If you're ready to trade "just a job" for real purpose, we want to hear from you.

Apply today and help us turn houses into homes.
