Job Description
The Case Management Processor manages life insurance cases from initial intake through policy placement. This role requires strong organization, meticulous attention to detail, curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving while consistently delivering an exceptional experience to brokers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Review and set up new life insurance applications to ensure accuracy and compliance with carrier requirements.
  • Own and manage cases from submission through policy placement, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the process.
  • Gather, organize, and manage all medical and financial underwriting requirements needed for each case.
  • Coordinate closely with brokers, internal teams, and insurance carriers to move cases forward efficiently.
  • Monitor case progress, identify potential issues early, and provide proactive updates to brokers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for all cases in the Agency Management System (AMS).
  • Assist with preparing quotes, assembling application packets, and navigating carrier portals as needed.
  • Use MS Excel and other tools to track case information, manage documentation, and support reporting activities.
  • Ensure high standards of document control and case management throughout the life cycle of each policy.

Essential Skills
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Case Manager for life insurance or as a mortgage processor.
  • Hands-on experience with life insurance case management or mortgage processing, including document management and underwriting requirements.
  • Strong document control and case management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for tracking, organizing, and reporting case-related information.
  • Ability to review applications for accuracy and alignment with insurance carrier requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex documentation and processes.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with brokers, internal teams, and insurance carriers.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach and curiosity to understand and resolve case issues quickly.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records within an Agency Management System (AMS) or similar platform.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree.
  • Experience working in life insurance, document management, or mortgage processing environments.
  • Comfort using carrier portals and preparing quotes and application packets.
  • Ability to work independently in a small office setting while collaborating closely with a tight-knit team.
  • Interest in taking on additional responsibilities and growing with a continually expanding business.
  • Commitment to delivering a high-quality broker and client experience.

Work Environment
This role is based in a small insurance brokerage office with roughly eight people, offering a close-knit and supportive team environment where many team members have been with the organization for years. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with early departure at 3:00 p.m. on Fridays for religious observance while receiving pay for the full day. During contract engagements, you are paid for any religious holidays when the business is closed in observance. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $36.06/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
