Job description

Position Summary:
Patient Care Assistant performs patient care activities including constant, close observation of an assigned patient, and assistance with activities of daily living. Maintains a safe and clean environment in accordance with MAHHC policy and procedure. Intervenes as necessary to prevent physical harm to patients who might be at high risk to injure themselves or others due to confusion, delirium, self-destructive behavior, or a high likelihood of falling. PCA works with others in the healthcare team to assure prompt intervention to maintain patient safety and to support patient care workflow. The PCA may be assigned to the Acute, Rehab or Emergency Departments based on the immediate needs of the hospital.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of high school education desired.
Certification: Previous health-related clinical experience preferred. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Computer experience preferred
Pay Range:
MIN; $17.00 MID: $21.68 MAX: $26.35
