Job description

The Facilities & Physical Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing facility infrastructure systems and physical security operations to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. This role manages maintenance activities, supervises technical staff, and ensures that all security and facility systems are fully operational and compliant with asset protection requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Infrastructure Oversight
  • Oversees HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building infrastructure systems.
  • Ensures all systems are functioning properly through regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Coordinates repairs, maintenance activities, and system upgrades.
  • Manages and supervises a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and operational support.
  • Develops and monitors maintenance plans, schedules, and basic budgets.

Physical Security Systems Management
  • Develops and implements proactive physical security programs to protect facilities and assets.
  • Supervises card access and key control systems, including coding and database maintenance.
  • Oversees the installation, administration, and operation of alarm systems, including centralized alarm systems.
  • Ensures alarm and security systems provide appropriate protection for assets such as cash, equipment, facilities, and ticket stock.
  • Investigates false alarms, identifies root causes (employee error, system malfunction, or equipment failure), and recommends corrective actions.

Planning, Compliance & Risk Mitigation
  • Reviews blueprints and construction plans for new and renovated facilities.
  • Provides security recommendations throughout the design and rehabilitation process to ensure asset protection standards are met.
  • Ensures compliance with security policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Education, Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with physical security systems (alarm systems, card access, key control systems).
    • One (1) year of closely related experience may substitute for each year of required education.
  • Must be able to pass a police background check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities.
  • Working knowledge of facility maintenance practices and systems.
  • Proficient understanding of basic budgeting and budget planning processes.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
