Job description

Description:

Brick City Metals is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair production equipment and facility systems in a metal manufacturing environment. This hands-on role requires strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills to support safe, efficient operations and minimize downtime.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

  • Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and PLC diagnostic tools
  • Identify and resolve hydraulic issues including pressure loss, cylinder drift, pump failure, and valve malfunction
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems related to vibration, misalignment, wear, and fatigue
  • Respond promptly to production breakdowns to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in inspecting/maintaining equipment, electrical, plumbing, and other basic maintenance skills are required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying temperature conditions
  • Must be able to stand, crouch, kneel, and climb for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are required for precision work
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and maintain on-call availability to support 24/7 production operations
  • Strong commitment to safety and reliability
