Title: General Maintenance I
Reports To: General Manager
Department: Maintenance

Summary: The primary objective of General Maintenance I to provide for the proper care of campgrounds and other use areas by performing maintenance to grounds and facilities. The Maintenance Technician will work under the direct supervision of the assigned manager for the given area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensures daily maintenance requirements are met such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, mowing, weed trimming, cleaning, landscaping, facility repair, and other general maintenance tasks within assigned areas.
  • Maintains and services equipment and keeps all company equipment in operable and safe working condition.
  • Trash pick-up throughout the entire recreation areas, roadsides, and campgrounds.
  • Maintains trash barrels – keep always emptied, and all areas around trash are to be kept neat and clean.
  • Informs supervisor as to specific maintenance needs, facility and building needs, and necessary supply levels.
  • Assists hosts with various miscellaneous duties as they may arise.
  • Always provides courteous and respectful service to customers and visitors.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Possesses basic mechanical skills and facility maintenance abilities.
  • Familiar (or willing to become familiar) with all Company and partnering agency policies and guidelines.
  • Available for duty during weekends, holidays, and peak visitation periods. Weekly work schedules will be worked out with local management.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately
