These positions are ideal for those seeking part-time work, flexible hours, or supplementary income, and may be found in various industries such as retail, healthcare, and telecommunications. Weekend shifts often require strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a weekend call center representative?

To thrive as a Weekend Call Center Representative, you need strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Job description

Who are we?

Dynamic Connections is a leading North American third-party logistics company that provides integrated solutions for our customers. Dynamic Connection creates, sells and executes intelligent logistics solutions that provide peace of mind and seamless movement of our customer's products. Our consistent service and communication make us an extension of our customers, and provides them with a seamless, stress-free transportation experience.

At Dynamic Connections, we treat our employees like we treat our customers - with honesty, integrity, and respect. We enjoy working together and making sure every day counts. We love doing team building activities like painting nights, axe throwing, intramural sports, potlucks and more. We have a positive, transparent, and entrepreneurial culture. Your success is our success.

Who We're Looking For:

We tackle complex logistics challenges while trying to simplify the lives of our customers.

We are seeking a Carrier Capacity Representative to join our reefer division. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong carrier relationships while supporting the sales and operations teams. This role requires a proactive, driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering solutions, building lasting partnerships, and contributing to the long-term success of our team.

Transportation is a fast-paced environment; things change quickly in our world, so we look for individuals who thrive on customer success and love an opportunity to tackle problem solving...head-on!

To Be Successful in This Role, You Have:
  • The drive to actively source, negotiate, and grow carrier partnerships that support business growth and align with company financial targets.

  • A customer-first mindset-working hand-in-hand with sales and operations to deliver best-in-class service.

  • A proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with carrier dispatchers and internal teams.

  • Accuracy and efficiency in dispatching loads, completing administrative duties, and updating tools like our transportation management system in a timely manner.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to proactively identify potential issues, create solutions, and escalate when necessary.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to negotiate rates and influence outcomes.

  • A results-oriented approach, demonstrated through meeting daily targets for quotes, pre-calls, and tenders, as well as driving year-over-year carrier growth.

  • Self-motivation and accountability-your job isn't done until the job is done.

  • A relentless desire to win, go above and beyond, and inspire your team through commitment and perseverance.

What you will do, day to day:

1. Strategic Sourcing & Lane Development

  1. Capacity Procurement: Proactively identify and qualify asset-based carriers to service recurring lanes and project freight.

  1. The "Buy" Strategy: Execute purchasing strategies that improve margin consistency. You aren't just covering loads; you are buying capacity at the right price point to ensure long-term profitability.

 2. Negotiation & Pricing Support

  1. Rate Negotiation: Negotiate standing orders and dedicated pricing with carriers, moving relationships from transactional spot-rates to contract rates.

  1. Benchmarking: Monitor market indices (DAT, FreightWaves, etc.) to ensure our procurement costs remain competitive.

 3. Operational Excellence (For Sourced Lanes)

  1. Carrier Accountability: Ensure carriers you onboard adhere to service requirements for the specific lanes they service (tracking, equipment quality, on-time performance).

  1. CRM / TMS Management: Maintain impeccable records in our TMS (Revenova), ensuring carrier profiles, lane preferences, and rate history are accurate and actionable for the broader team.

  1. Troubleshooting: Act as the primary escalation point for the strategic carriers you manage, solving high-level issues that threaten the relationship.

$60,000 - $70,000 a year
Our pledge to you and what we offer:
  • We offer a competitive benefits package; you will receive a company paid laptop computer and an iPhone along with a company paid phone plan.

  • We believe deeply in your success. We offer professional development courses and the opportunity to develop your career with Dynamic Connections. We are committed to your professional growth and strive to promote from within.

  • We are backed by a private equity firm, Shore Capital; this offers deep stability and support. We regularly access training, knowledge sharing and resources to ensure you are operating at the peak of your game. Shore provides training and development as well as regular events.

  • Our culture is a vibrant one; we host regular team building events, have monthly team lunches and believe in rewarding and incentivising our team fully for their ongoing commitment.  We honour our team through prizes, perks and regular raffles and events.
