Role Overview:
Analysts are entry and junior level consulting positions.
Our management consulting analysts support client engagement teams on strategy and operations initiatives. This can cover assessment, design, implementation and/or operational projects. Our analysts provide research, data analysis, lean / continuous improvement, change management, and/or technology support. Our analysts are expected to provide and develop strong writing and presentation contributions.
This role works with managers and consultants in our Strategy & Operations practice. Our Strategy and Operations consultants provide pragmatic industry and organizational perspectives and solutions to clients. We address supply chain, operational project lifecycle management, asset management, construction, restructuring, field service, finance, technology, organization and other critical operating areas.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver client project and deliverable assignments on time, on-budget, and with quality. Deliverables should be well-organized with strong writing and presentation in accordance within Pyrovio quality and brand standards.
  • Support project managers in client delivery and deliverables. In addition, this requires:
    • Developing deep understanding of client operations and operating models.
    • Developing, deploying and utilizing new and existing frameworks.
    • Translating client understanding, assessment, issues and insights into documents, tools and data models.
  • Develop and provide industry-focused perspectives.
  • Develop competitive analysis within assigned industry.
  • Understand perspectives, intellectual capital, tools and frameworks within Strategy & Operations.

Qualifications:
Education and Professional Experience
  • This is an entry position where candidates typically have between 0-3 years of prior full-time work experience preferably related to consulting such as in external consulting and corporate strategy, operations, or continuous improvement positions.
  • An accredited US or Canadian bachelor's or graduate degree; with preference for research and analytically-oriented degrees and programs such as engineering, business, computer science, analytics or mathematics.

Applied Work Experience
  • Experience in at least one consulting objective in work or education settings: assessment, design, planning, implementation, or operationalization.
  • Ability to demonstrate exposure and competence in core strategy and operations skills practiced in corporate, consulting or educational settings: research, data analysis, lean/continuous improvement, change management, and especially are expected to be good writers and presenters.
  • Experience with data and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Excel is important.
  • Our analysts should have technology and financial savvy.
  • Experience in project management work environments is important especially for experienced analysts.

Other Skills and Credentials
  • Ability to show industry business acumen in a past working industry (even if it is not a core industry for Pyrovio). Utility, energy and manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong curiosity and self-learner.
  • The ability to leverage AI tools is preferred.
  • Certifications can be desirable including but not limited to Lean Six Sigma, Prosci, PMI/PMP.

Requirements
  • This position is based in the EST or CST time zone and is expected to work client hours.
  • Travel to client sites can be required as needed. For many engagements, travel does not exceed 25%.
