In this role, you will help convert market insight and customer challenges into profitable growth opportunities. You will work directly with medical-device customers and the Molex sales organization to advance opportunities from early engagement through solution design, commercial negotiation, and revenue generation.
Location: This role may be based remotely within an approved U.S. location, with a preference for candidates located in the Midwest. Travel of approximately 50%, including periodic visits to Lisle, Illinois, global design centers, manufacturing facilities, industry events, and customer locations, is expected.
What You Will Do
• Develop and execute business-development strategies that expand Molex optical connectivity solutions within the medical market
• Build relationships with medical-device manufacturers and other strategic customers to identify unmet needs, new applications, and revenue opportunities
• Lead consultative customer engagements, including solution presentations, value propositions, proposals, proof-of-concept activities, and commercial negotiations
• Partner with Molex sales teams to advance target accounts, support design-in activity, and convert qualified opportunities into profitable revenue
• Translate customer and market insights into actionable input for Product Management and Engineering, including future product and application needs
• Collaborate with Marketing to define target customer profiles and support campaigns, industry events, conferences, and other market-development activities
• Monitor market, technology, and competitive developments to refine account priorities and growth strategies
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Experience developing new business or strategic accounts in optical connectivity, photonics, electronic components, medical devices (electronic or fiber optic) or another technical business-to-business market
• Experience presenting technical or commercial solutions to customers and business leaders
• Experience developing customer value propositions, proposals, or business cases
• Experience with pricing, commercial negotiations, or contract discussions
• Willing and able to travel approximately 50%
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related field
What Will Put You Ahead
• Experience selling optical connectors, fiber-optic assemblies, or related solutions into medical-device applications
• Experience working with product management, engineering, and global sales teams
• Experience developing new markets, applications, or strategic accounts
• Product management experience in fiber-optic interconnects or adjacent connectivity technologies
For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000-$160,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
