Whitko Community schools is looking for a dedicated individual 21 or older that enjoys children who would be interested in driving daily bus routes, subbing on various bus routes or driving extra curricular trips.
  • Follow a school year calendar
  • 180 days
  • AM & PM Route

  • Class B CDL Training

Responsibilities:
  • Being available daily to drive an AM & PM Route or assist another driver.
  • Following the planned route and schedule for departure times and stops.
  • Regularly check vehicle safety such as tires, brakes, turn signals, mechanical equipment, etc.
  • Fuel bus as needed
  • Responding to emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Inspecting the vehicle thoroughly before and after each trip.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of the bus when required.
  • Enforcing conduct and safety rules on the bus.
  • Maintaining a clean vehicle.
  • The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the transportation director and other administrative staff as designated by the superintendent.

School Bus Driver Requirements:
  • Must currently hold a valid driver's license..
