About the Role

We are seeking a Operator 3- Break Relief team member to join our Production team at our Alsip, IL bakery. As a Break Relief employee, you will be accountable for providing operational support and break coverage across multiple production positions while ensuring product quality, food safety, and production efficiency. This role is critical to maintaining seamless production operations and supporting compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Shift & Schedule 

  • Shift: 1st
  • Hours: 5:45 AM- 4:15 PM
  • Weekend Availability: Required 

Compensation 

  • Hourly Pay Range: $19 - $21 

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

  • Provide break relief coverage across multiple production roles to ensure continuous operations.
  • Operate production equipment and perform assigned duties in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain food safety, quality, legality, and GMP compliance throughout all production activities.
  • Complete accurate production, quality, and waste documentation.
  • Monitor equipment and communicate operational, safety, or food safety concerns to supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and team members to support efficient production processes.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related manufacturing, production, or transferable work experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to learn and perform multiple production positions, including case erector/packer, dough mover, mixer, operator, packer, and palletizer.
  • Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and food safety requirements.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including shifts of up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work around moving conveyor systems and production equipment.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Experience in the food manufacturing or baking industry.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, allergen control, and food defense programs.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
