Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join our team as Breakfast Attendant to join our team!

The Breakfast Attendant's responsibilities include following a daily schedule, performing proper set-up, maintenance, break-down and cleaning of the breakfast area; responsible for providing excellent guest service and satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Set up and maintenance of the Breakfast Bar in an attractive abundant looking, organized, clean and standardized presentation, maintaining brand standards at all times.
  • Takes inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
  • Assists with set up of prepared foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juices
  • Set up of serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other products
  • Set up and arrangement of cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins and cereal
  • Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated
  • Removes trash from service area
  • Restocks self-service food and supplies as needed
  • Wash serving equipment and return to proper storage
  • Return reusable food supplies to storage after service
  • Vacuum, sweep carpets amp; floors
  • Mop floors
  • Dust, brush, polish, amp; vacuum furniture
  • Dust and cleans room decorations, appliances, amp; structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.; using appropriate cleaners designated by immediate supervisor
  • Inspect areas for safety hazards
  • Check operating conditions of equipment
  • Report lost amp; found articles per hotel procedure
  • Report maintenance problems (common areas) to the department supervisor and maintenance
  • Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager.
  • Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English and effectively communicate with Team Members and Guests.
  • Must be able to apply commonsense understanding, in carrying out instructions
  • Must be able to utilize and follow a checklist, take inventory of supplies and convey information to staff and management.
  • Must be able to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to work well as a part of a team.
  • Must be engaging with all guest throughout breakfast period; responding to guest needs as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Standing and walking for entire length of shift.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Six months Customer Service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
