Full Time Morning Bistro Breakfast Cook

Position Title: Morning Bistro Breakfast Cook
Department: Food & Beverage (Bistro)
Reports To: Food & Beverage Supervisor
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Morning Bistro Breakfast Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting quality breakfast items in accordance with Courtyard brand standards and food safety regulations. This position plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring food is prepared accurately, efficiently, and consistently while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare and cook breakfast menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and brand specifications.
  • Set up and stock all food stations before the start of breakfast service.
  • Ensure all food products are fresh, properly stored, and rotated using FIFO procedures.
  • Monitor food quality, temperature, presentation, and portion control throughout service.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of food and supplies; notify management of ordering needs.
  • Follow all local health department regulations and food safety standards.
  • Keep workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas clean, sanitized, and organized.
  • Properly operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, microwaves, coffee equipment, and food preparation tools.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and stocking food deliveries.
  • Minimize food waste and control food costs through proper preparation and storage practices.
  • Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests and fellow associates.
  • Assist with Bistro closing, cleaning, and preparation for the next shift as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cooking, food preparation, restaurant, hotel, or Bistro experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required food safety certifications.
