Overview

Inn at Bay Harbor is a Resort nestled on the shoreline of Lake Michigan. It is a place and experience that is Exactly Like Nothing Else.

We will provide you with the hands on experience necessary to be successful in the hospitality industry. You will learn how to exceed guest expectations by selling and serving our many food & beverage offerings.
 

Candidate will be assigned to one or multiple positions within the resort's food & beverage outlets.

Responsibilities

A Breakfast line cook is expected to help the kitchen team in the preparation of food items.

Prepare food according to food handling guidelines and cooking procedures.

Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and use records.

Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.

Communicate and coordinate production with other cooks, wait staff and members of the food and beverage team.

Possess knowledge and become familiar with all kitchen equipment.

Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and checking internal temperatures with thermometer to determine proper preparation.

Plate food and maintain consistency according to Chef's specs.

Label, date and rotate all stored food.

Perform closing procedures including equipment maintenance and shut off, cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
