The Route Driver loads and delivers orders to customer location. 


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives truck in a safe manner and in compliance with D.O.T. regulations.
  • Loads and unloads truck.
  • Makes local deliveries
  • Inspects equipment daily to ensure that it remains in safe and efficient working order.
  • Delivers product to customers as directed.
  • Completes required paperwork.


SCHEDULE:

Varies, must have flexibility including weekends. Off 2 days per week

Requirements

  1. Must have a minimum of 1 year of Class A tractor-trailer driving
  2. Must be free of any moving violations and/or violation points
  3. Must be flexible to work any 5 days of the week including holidays
  4. Must possess and maintain a permanent Class A Tractor Trailer commercial driver's license

Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to display basic arithmetic skills. 

TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: Class B Commercial Driver's License required. 1 year CDL driving experience required. 1 year of experience working in a warehouse, Electric Pallet Jack experience and/or Produce experience is preferred. 

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, rotate or twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
