Job description

Title: Aircraft Structures Mechanic
Location: Lake Charles, LA 70615
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension) Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft structures, structural components, and engines.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical data.
• Perform aircraft sheet metal repair, structural modifications, and component replacement.
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and electrical systems.
• Perform scheduled inspections including pre-flight, post-flight, phase, periodic, and hourly inspections.
• Utilize specialized aircraft maintenance tools including torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears.
• Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components.
• Maintain accurate aircraft maintenance logs and records while providing technical guidance to junior technicians.
• Support maintenance activities on the U.S. Navy E-6B (Boeing 707) aircraft platform.
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 10 years of aircraft maintenance or aircraft structures experience.
• Experience with aircraft structural repair, sheet metal, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to work any assigned shift, including overtime as required.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and wear required safety equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
• Experience supporting E-6B or Boeing 707 aircraft.
• Military aircraft maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
